Ezra’s Valentines
Available September 30th

Ezra didn’t want to spend time making and delivering valentines this year. He didn’t even care if he got any. He didn’t want to waste his time creating valentines for all of his classmates and friends when he could be playing on his favorite app instead.

Valentine’s Day isn’t really that important, thought Ezra.

It is only after seeing a note to “show kindness” on his chore list that Ezra begins to think that maybe he should do something for his classmates after all.

This heartwarming story explores a child’s journey into discovering what is really important in life—family, friends, kindness, and love.
As an added bonus, the reader will find a hidden search game throughout the pages of this beautifully illustrated book and activity pages at the end.

Sherry Krehbiel is a facilitator of learning with three decades of experience in education.
For the past fifteen years, she had been able to offer outdoor learning to three to six years old’s using the Montessori approach towards learning. Her outdoor classroom included gardening and nurturing habitats for butterflies.
At home half the year in Kansas, and the other half on King’s River, a branch of Table Rock Lake in Missouri/Arkansas, Sherry is often found exploring and planning her butterfly garden by the lake where First Comes a Butterfly takes place.
Sherry wrote Ezra’s Valentines to address the lack of children’s books for three to six-year old’s that shared a heartfelt story followed by an engaging Valentine activity. This story has been told and retold many different ways, both in Sherry’s classroom, as well as to her grandchildren, and now is in print for teachers to share in their classroom, homeschooling parents to use, and children just to pick up and enjoy.
Along with her nine grandchildren, her husband, Mark, encourages and supports her author journey. Now retired, but still learning as she gardens, feeds and identifies birds, raises a variety of butterflies, paints the nature that surrounds her, and of course, continues to write children’s books that foster creative learning for all ages.
